God chooses the despised, foolish and weak to be His servants

God chooses the despised, foolish and weak to be His servants
God chooses the despised, foolish and weak to be His servants

God chooses the despised, foolish and weak to be His servants. In doing this, He confounds the mighty, proofs His power and reveals who He is.

1 Cor 1:27 But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God has chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty.

Like prophets, God knows His servants even before they are formed in the womb. See the calling of a prophet.

At the right time, He confirms the ministry of His servants baptizes them with fire and sends them out to the world.

God chooses His servants according to His will

God chooses and calls people to be His servants according to His will.

His will does not have to be our will, go inline with our will, reasoning or what

the world has taught us. God is limitless and He moves beyond the box you limit Him in your mind. His will is not hindered by humans will.

To be a God’s servant, it does not matter if you are male of female. See women in prophetic ministry.

God chooses the despised, foolish and weak to be His servants

The standards we put in place to choosing of God’s servants are not the standards which God puts. God chooses the despised, foolish and weak to confound the mighty.

Reason Jesus did not choose the mighty in society, the likes of Pontius Pilate, but chose the weak, fishermen like Peter, Andrew, John, James etc.

God places the mighty in positions to accomplish His mission but He chooses the weak in accordance to people perspective to confound the world mighty.

1 Cor 1:27-29 But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God has chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty. And base things of the world, and things which are despised, has God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nothing things that are. That no flesh should glory in his presence.

Examples

  1. If God chooses the strong, they will say that God chose them because they are strong and this will not confound the mighty.
  2. If God chooses the educated, they will say that God chose us because we are educated and this will not confound the mighty.
  3. If God chooses the ‘holy-thou’ they will be proud and boast that God chose them because they are ‘holy’ and this will not confound the mighty.

If God chooses any person of the three groups above to be His servant, they will not reveal Him, His power and who He is but instead people will say that they are doing this and that because of their education, money, power, influence etc.

If God calls a person to be His servant, the person leaves everything and follows Him.

Example: If God calls the educated to be His servants, they totally leave their education and follow Him. If He calls the powerful, they totally leave their power and follow Him. If He calls the rich, they totally leave their wealthy and follow Him.

Look at the like of Prophet Dr. Owour. Highly educated in science and working with a big salary, He left all that and followed Jesus Christ.

Church leadership today

For a person to be appointed to any leadership position in the church today, the church looks at education, status in society, money, family lineage, etc. Reason the church is neither appointing nor recognizing God called servants. See church leadership structure.

Not every person who has studied the world education (like theology) is a God called servant.

The church has failed reason you can hear and see immorality in church leaders. Even when the church has lost its salt and fallen away, these church leaders cannot see these.

You differentiate God called servants and servants not called by God by their fruits.

Mt 7:16-18: Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree brings forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree brings forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

Which fruits do your church leaders bear?
