God has not appointed us to wrath

God has not appointed us to wrath
God has not appointed us to wrath

God has not appointed us to wrath. Godly people (not hypocrites and the world) are not appointed to wrath but to obtain salvation through Jesus Christ.

1 Thess 5:9: For God has not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ

In this verse, Apostle Paul is talking of God’s wrath not Satan’s wrath. Satan is always extremely angry with us, Godly people.

God’s wrath is revealed when He is judging rebellious people, a rebellious nation or a generation. And in the Bible we see God’s final pouring of His wrath to this rebellious world and the kingdom of darkness in the great tribulation.

See study of the Book of Revelation

When God is pouring His wrath, His wrath does not touch the righteous (the Godly); He has not appointed us to wrath.

God has not appointed us to wrath

Our Lord Jesus Christ is our savior from the wrath of God, the father.

1 Thess 5:9: For God has not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ

Rom 5:8-9: But God commended his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

God the father poured His entire wrath to His own begotten Son, thus when He is pouring His wrath to rebellious people, nation or generation, those in Jesus Christ are saved.

On Calvary tree Jesus shouted out loud, ‘It is finished’ because he had finished drinking the entire cup of His father’s wrath and paid the entire ransom for me and you; for those who believe in Him.

Mt 20:28: Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many

Yes! The price is paid.

1 Cor 6:20: For you are bought with a price

1 Tim 2:5-6: For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. Who gave himself a ransom for all

God does not do anything without telling the righteous through His servants the prophets.

Amos 3:7: Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he reveals his secret unto his servants the prophets.

Thus God will not pour His wrath to rebellious people without informing the righteous.

And in the Bible we see God revealing to the righteous when He is about to pour His wrath and we also see Him, pulling out, saving or protecting Godly people from His wrath. In addition we see Him separating the Godly and the ungodly before He pours His wrath.

Bible examples of Godly people saved from God’s wrath

In the Bible, we see God saving, protecting, pulling out or separating the Godly people from the ungodly before He pours His wrath.

Here are some Biblical examples: –

1. Lot pulled out from Sodom and Gomorrah before their destruction

Lot and his family were pulled out before Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed (Genesis 19).

We even see God hurrying Lot to come out.

Gen 19:15: And when the morning arose, then the angels hastened Lot, saying, Arise, take thy wife, and thy two daughters, which are here; lest thou be consumed in the iniquity of the city.

When Lot was delaying, we see God angels holding their hands and bringing them out of the city.

Gen 19:16: And while he lingered, the men laid hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his wife, and upon the hand of his two daughters; the LORD being merciful unto him: and they brought him forth, and set him outside the city.

Lot and his family is a picture of Godly people. We see lot and his family pulled out from the cities before God poured His wrath to Sodom and Gomorrah, the same way He does to the godly today.

God cannot pour His wrath to the ungodly until all His children (the godly) are out and in a save place.

We see God telling Lot,

Gen 19:22: ‘Hurry, escape there; for I cannot do any thing until you arrive there’.

Peter says,

2 Peter 2:6-7: And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes condemned them to destruction, making them an example unto those who afterwards would live ungodly. And delivered just Lot, who was oppressed by the filthy conduct of the wicked

2 Peter 2:8: (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;)

God informed Abraham of Sodom and Gomorrah destruction before their day came (Gen 18); before God does anything He informs His children.

2. Noah saved from the flood

God does not do anything without informing the righteous thus God informed Noah of coming wrath to the world in form of a flood.

Gen 6:13: And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.

It is God who saved Noah from the flood; it is God who directed Noah what to do.

Gen 6:14: Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shall thou make in the ark, and shall pitch it within and without with pitch.

Noah was righteous; Godly.

Peter refers Noah as a preacher of righteousness.

2 Peter 2:5: And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly

Noah is a picture of the righteous and how God saves them before pouring His wrath to the ungodly.

The Ark of Noah is a picture of salvation; Jesus Christ salvation.

Noah and his family inside God’s wrath but being protected inside an ark is a figurative of Jacob (Israel) inside God’s wrath (the great tribulation) but protected by Jesus Christ.

There is a person who God took before the floods.

3. Enoch caught up before the floods

Enoch was caught up before the floods.

The bible says,

Gen 5:24: And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.

Enoch did not die but he was caught up reason the Bible says, ‘He was not’.

Why was Enoch caught up? Because he walked with God

Enoch is the right picture of the Godly before the great tribulation. Every person who walks with God will be caught up (raptured) before the great tribulation. See rapture is Biblical.

Realize that it is only the house of Jacob (the Jews) and the rebellious world who will go inside the tribulation period. The righteous, those in Jesus Christ, will be caught up before the great tribulation.

Enoch represents the church while Noah represents the Israelites.  The church will be caught up before the great tribulation as Enoch was but the Jews will sail inside the great tribulation period in an ark like Noah; they will be protected by God.

Rev 12:14: And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.

The woman is Israel; the Jews

4. Korah destruction

When God was about to destroy the ungodly Korah and his company, we see Him separating the godly from the ungodly.

Num 16:24-26: Speak unto the congregation, saying, Get you up from about the tabernacle of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram. And Moses rose up and went unto Dathan and Abiram; and the elders of Israel followed him. And he spoke unto the congregation, saying, Depart, I pray you, from the tents of these wicked men, and touch nothing of theirs, lest ye be consumed in all their sins.

God wrath came when the earth opened its mouth and consumed them

Num 16:32-33: And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up, and their houses, and all the men that appertained unto Korah, and all their goods. They, and all that appertained to them, went down alive into the pit, and the earth closed upon them: and they perished from among the congregation.

Many people are perishing to Korah’s rebellion.

Jude 1:11: Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished to Korah’s rebellion.

Korah and his company rebelled Moses, God’s servant, and said to him,

‘You take too much upon you, seeing all the congregation are holy, every one of them, and the LORD is among them: wherefore then lift ye up yourselves above the congregation of the LORD?’ (Num 16:3)

Rebelling God by rebelling His servants is Korah’s rebellion. You are perishing.

Do not open your mouth against any God servant without truly knowing the spirit powering that person.

When God is pouring His wrath to the ungodly He first separates the ungodly from the godly. The way He did to Korah and his company, so does He do today. The godly people are not consumed by His wrath.

By their mouths, many claim to be Christians (godly) but does God know that you’re godly?

God’s wrath separates the godly and ungodly. If God pours His wrath to the ungodly and it touches you, know that you are not in Jesus Christ salvation.

Even when Satan pours his wrath to the godly, Satan wrath cannot kill them because they are under Jesus Christ. See how Satan poured His wrath to Job but he did not kill Him.

Satan has no power over a righteous man’s life.

God’s wrath is coming to Kenya. South Africa repent, Mexico repent, Caribbean Islands Repent, Sweden Repent, Spain repent and all other world nations repent for God’s wrath is now revealed.

Rom 1:18: For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men

Come to Jesus Christ, be in Jesus Christ for you to escape God’s wrath.

Lk 21:36: Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

1 Peter 3:12: For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.

The great tribulation is about to start and for you to escape God’s final wrath to the ungodly rebellious world, come into Jesus Christ today.

2 Peter 2:9: The Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the Day of Judgment to be punished.

1 Thess 1:10: And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come.

Therefore, because God has not appointed us to wrath the church will not be in the great tribulation

Jesus is coming. Rapture is at hand. Repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
