Hypocrites Pray Loud Standing in the Streets and Synagogues (Churches)

Praying loud standing in the street and synagogues (churches) is hypocrisy. It is done by hypocrites.

Mt 6:5: And when you pray, you shall not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Verily I say unto you, they have their reward.

Standing in this verse does not only mean in upright position but also praying personal prayers not in secret.

Prayer is sacred; it is a secret between you and God. No other person should hear what you are saying to your God when praying personal prayers.

Jesus Christ is your (my) bridegroom and you are (I am) the bride. Bridegroom and bride/husband and wife have their own secrets they speak to each other which no other person must hear.

Since we are the brides of Jesus Christ, you need to speak secrets to Him that no other human being hears. It is in prayer you (we) speak this secrets to God.

First make God your personal God for you to speak to Him personally; just you and Him. See how to seek Jesus Christ and find Him

But hypocrites do the opposite, praying not in secret to God and this is what Jesus Christ spoke against.

Hypocrites Pray loud standing in the streets and synagogues (churches)

There are two types of prayers;

  1. Personal prayers
  2. Prayers in public

 1. Personal Prayers

Personal prayers must be secretive. No other human being should hear the secrets you speak to your God. Personal prayers are a secret between you and your God.

And for this reason Jesus taught us saying

But you, when you pray, enter into your closet, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father which is in secret; and your Father which sees in secret shall reward you openly (Mt 6:6).

The time you do not obey what Jesus taught by making your personal prayers very secret between you and Him is the time you ask and receive not because you ask wrongly.

James 4:3: You ask, and receive not, because you ask amiss

Even if you have the right relationship with God and ask wrongly, you will receive not. See if God does not answer you, your personal relationship with Him is not right

When you do not obey what Jesus Christ taught and pray personal prayers loudly being heard by fellow humans not in secret, you receive not because you pray like a hypocrite.

Mt 6:5: And when you pray, you shall not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Verily I say unto you, they have their reward.

Are/have you been a hypocrite praying personal prayers not in secret?

Who has taught you to go pray personal prayers shouting loud in streets, synagogues (churches) and in public? Where is that taught in the Bible?

Many people claiming to be Christians today have more of worldly gospel than Biblical gospel.

The number of hypocrites in Christianity is more than the number of true Christians. A very large percentage of those claiming to be Christians are hypocrites.

One characteristic of hypocrites is praying loud standing in the streets, churches, synagogues, etc. They are usually heard and seen by fellow humans.

These hypocrites shouting personal prayers loud do not understand that;

  • God is not deaf

‘I AM’ is not a deaf God; Jesus Christ is not deaf. You do not need to shout or speak loudly for Him to hear.

Before you speak He knows what you want to speak and hears even when you speak in your mind and heart without opening your mouth. Before you ask, He knows what you want to ask Him.

Psalms 139:4: For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, thou know it altogether.

Mt 6:8: Be not therefore like them: for your Father knows what things you have need of, before you ask him.

Many people calling themselves Christians pray to God like He is deaf. They think by shouting loud their prayers is when God will hear.

It is a sign of a hypocrite. A sign of a person lacking great faith in Jesus Christ to believe that God knows what you are to ask before you ask and reads your mind and heart before you speak and knows what you will speak to Him.

It is a sign of a person not believing that God hears even whispers and our thoughts because He is God. He reads our minds and knows what is in your mind.

And because of lack of faith, you are flattering God with your prayers and you receive not what you ask. See importance of faith

You do not need to shout for God to hear. When you think and whisper He is hearing every word and thought.

For many times my God has answered me my thoughts. He hears and reads them even before I speak them to Him.

  • God is in secret and He hears and sees in secret

God is in secret and He hears and sees in secret. This is what today hypocritical Christians do not understand.

Jesus said,

…pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father which sees in secret (Mt 6:6)

For your personal prayers to be heard, you must pray in secret because God is in secret.

It is for this reason Jesus taught us saying

But you, when you pray, enter into your closet, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father (Mt 6:6)

Where is it taught go out to public shout loud your prayers to God? Why are you rebellious and disobeying what Jesus taught?

Stop following worldly false gospel. It’s leading millions to hell. Separate yourself.

2. Prayers in public

I had an opportunity to hear the heaven and the great cloud of witness pray and when I compare the way they did it to what is happening in public worship places on earth, I pity humanity.

I saw and heard the great cloud of witnesses; Paul, Peter, Elijah, Elisha, John of the Book of revelation and all great servants of God in heaven pray. I listened to them as they interceded all together for humanity on earth and it was awesome.

Saying one word at a time in unison they all prayed neither shouting nor in confusion. The spirit moved so intensely and the entire heaven went into silent as the great cloud of witness prayed.

When brethren come together and pray in the right way, the entire heaven goes into silence listening.

But what is the right way?

The great cloud of witness was saying one at a time in unison praying neither shouting nor in confusion. But what do we hear when people calling themselves Christians meet in public worship places?

What is coming out from synagogues (churches) today is noise, shouting and confusion in the name of prayer. It is noise which the kingdom of heaven does not listen to.

And for this reason, no miracles, no signs, no power of the Holy Spirit because it is hypocrites prayers. You will keep shouting and hyping gospel in your churches and see nothing; blind evil generation.

Do you know that the kingdom of God is not in word but in power?

1 Cor 4:20: For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.

Your churches are full of mere-heavy-worded-gospel with no power. Without power the word is useless; it can’t do anything.

When brethren meet today, every one opens his/her mouth shouting loudly and many speaking in tongues in name of prayer; a blind confused generation indeed.

Where is this taught in the Bible? No where!

Why are you standing and shouting your prayers loud in public, in your synagogues (churches)? Is this not what Jesus taught against?

And when you pray, you shall not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets (Mt 6:5)

A hypocritical evil blind generation indeed! You are hypocrites.

Did Jesus not teach us to pray to God who is in secret, who hears and sees in secret? Why have you gone to shout loudly in your so called churches in name of prayer? Why are you disobeying what Jesus taught? Hypocrites!

Does the Bible not also say if a person speaks in tongue let there be an interpreter?

1 Cor 14:27-28: If anyone speak in an unknown tongue, let there be two, or at the most by three, each in turn; and let one interpret. But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God.

Why are you allowing a person to speak in tongues in your churches without an interpreter even if a person is praying?

How sure are you that the person is not speaking in demonic tongues blaspheming the same God you claim to be praying and worshiping?

See speaking in tongues

When every person rises to pray speaking in tongues in the churches, is that not madness?

1 Cor 14:23: If therefore the whole church be come together into one place, and all speak with tongues, and there come in those that are unlearned, or unbelievers, will they not say that you are mad?

Therefore, how do we pray rightly in a public place like in the church? Since we cannot pray like the great cloud of witness word by word together in unison;

  1. Let one person pray while others keep silence
  2. If any other person wants to pray, let there be an order; one after another, while others are silent
  3. If any person speaks in tongues praying, let there be an interpreter if not so, the person must remain silent

Remember, God is in secret. He hears and sees in secret therefore personal prayers must be secret. Stop going to shout your personal prayers in churches and public places. Instead go into closet and shout the doors and pray to your God in secret.

But you, when you pray, enter into your closet, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father which is in secret; and your Father which sees in secret shall reward you openly (Mt 6:6).

If Jesus drew Himself away to pray in secret to His father, who are you not to do the same? Who are you not to go into secret to pray?

Lk 5:16: And he withdrew himself into the desolate, and prayed.

If you ask rightly, you will indeed receive.

What is coming out of your worship places in the name of prayer is noise of a blind lost generation who denies power of the Holy Spirit. An evil and adulterous generation with no time to study the Bible but only ask for blessings and seeking after a sign.

And no sign will be given to it except the sign of Prophet Jonah.
