Jesus said to me on 15th November 2015, ‘I died on the cross not to baptize you with water but with the Holy Spirit

See what baptism is

‘I Died on the Cross Not to Baptize you with Water but with the Holy Spirit’ Jesus said

John the Baptist baptism, baptism with water was a baptism unto repentance.

Mt 3:11: I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance

Baptism unto repentance is not baptism unto salvation.

Repentance prepares the way for salvation; for baptism with the Holy Spirit

See how to repent

Baptism with water was replaced by baptism with the Holy Spirit.

Mt 3:11: I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but He that comes after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: He shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire

Jesus came after John the Baptist. Immediately John the Baptist was arrested, Jesus started preaching.

To be revealed to Israel, Jesus was baptized with water by John the Baptist.

John 1:31: And I knew Him not: but that He should be revealed to Israel, therefore am I come baptizing with water.

The main reason John came baptizing with water was to reveal Jesus to Israel preparing the way for Him.

Jesus never baptized any person with water and He doesn’t even today.

On the cross Jesus replace John the Baptist (baptism with water) with baptism with the Holy Spirit.

John the Baptist was to decrease as Jesus increased.

John 3:30: He must increase, but I must decrease

Therefore John Baptist baptism with water was to decrease as Jesus Christ baptism with the Holy Spirit increased.

Baptism with water was to decrease and decrease until it vanished as baptism with the Holy Spirit increased and increased.

Baptism with water was unto repentance. A person may repent but not accept Jesus Christ. I.e. a person may repent but not accept the Holy Spirit. Yes! They accept the word but deny the power (Holy Spirit).

Repentance is not salvation. Repentance only prepares the way for salvation; Baptism with water (repentance) prepares the way for baptism with the Holy Spirit (salvation).

Repentance does not save but Jesus Christ saves. Thus baptism with water does not save but baptism with the Holy Spirit saves.

Being baptized with the Holy Spirit is the Holy Spirit moving from being with you and dwelling in you. See the 3 relationships the Holy Spirit has with humans

Holy Spirit dwelling in a person is the baptism with the Holy Spirit.

Many people have been baptized with water but they have not received the baptism with the Holy Spirit; not received the Holy Spirit.

Some have been baptized to be admitted to a building called church (christen), others to get a Christian name, others to just feel belonging, etc but they have not received salvation; baptism with the Holy Spirit just like the disciples in Ephesus.

Act 19:1-2: And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples, He said unto them, ‘Have you received the Holy Spirit when you believed? And they said unto him, ‘We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Spirit’

Ac 19:3-4: And he said unto them, ‘Unto what then were you baptized?’ And they said, ‘Unto John’s baptism’. Then said Paul, ‘John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on Him who should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus’

Act 19:5-6: When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Spirit came on them; and they spoke with tongues, and prophesied.

If you were baptized with water and you did not get baptized with the Holy Spirit, you must get the Holy Spirit in you.

Acts 19:6 gives us 2 signs of a person baptized with the Holy Spirit (not the only signs);

  1. Speaking in tongues
  2. Prophesying

If you have not received the Holy Spirit, you must for your salvation.

There are only two requirements to be baptized with the Holy Spirit;

  1. Sincere repentance
  2. Truly accept Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ cannot baptize a person with the Holy Spirit until the person meets the 2 requirements. Remember, you cannot bribe or lie to God.

After meeting the two requirements, pray and ask Jesus Christ to baptize you with the Holy Spirit and He will.

A person can also receive the Baptism with the Holy Spirit from a true God servant as we see in Acts 19:6 by the laying of hands like Paul did and instantly you speak in tongues and prophesy.

You must truly believe that you will speak in tongues as the servant of God lays his/her hands on you, and indeed you will.

When people come to Christ the first time, they get so much excited but the excitement starts wearing off and eventually they get back to the world they were in. This is because they did not get the Holy Spirit to dwell in them; they were not baptized with the Holy Spirit.

When we come to Jesus Christ, we must get the Holy Spirit dwelling in us because it is Him to help us overcome the world and stay in Christ for the rest of our life.

Baptism with water is baptism to repentance while Baptism with the Holy Spirit is baptism unto salvation.

Jesus said to me, ‘I did not die on the cross to baptize with water but with the Holy Spirit
