‘No Two Prophets Can Minister At the Same Time’ – Contradicts the Bible
‘No Two Prophets Can Minister At the Same Time’ – Contradicts the Bible

‘No two prophets can minister at the same time’ is a statement used by many to speak against/abuse any other prophet apart from the prophet they acknowledge.

By using the above statement, they call every other prophet a false prophet except the prophet they acknowledge

Is the statement they hold and stand onto Biblical?

No! The Bible reveals the opposite

Let’s see this in the Bible

‘No Two Prophets Can Minister At the Same Time’ – Contradicts the Bible

In the Bible we see many prophets ministering at the same time

1. Elijah’s time

Elijah acknowledged that he was not the only prophet ministering to Israel when he said to God,

1 Kings 19:14: And he said, ‘I have been very jealous for the LORD God of hosts: because the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thine altars, and slain your prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away’

Elijah run to hide in a cave because he thought that he was the only prophet left in Israel

By saying, ‘slain your prophets with the sword and I even I only am left’ Elijah acknowledges that he was not the only prophet in Israel

As Jezebel massacred God prophets making Elijah run to a cave, we see Obadiah taking 100 prophets and hiding them

1 Kings 18:4: For it was so, when Jezebel massacred the prophets of the LORD, that Obadiah took  hundred prophets, and hid them by fifty in a cave, and fed them with bread and water

See Jezebel traits

Jezebel massacred many God prophets, Obadiah hid 100 prophets plus Elijah – how may God prophets were ministering in Israel during Elijah’s time? They were many.

If in a small land like Israel God could have the prophets massacred by Jezebel + 100 hidden by Obadiah + Elijah all ministering to Israel at the same time, how many more can He have in a land like America, Kenya, Africa, Asia, all over the world?

2. Elisha’s time

When Elijah was walking with Elisha we see the sons of the prophets ministering

We see the sons of the prophets in Bethel, in Jericho and in Jordan speak to Elisha (2 kings 2)

The sons of the prophets were prophets

If we can see only 3 cities in Israel having prophets, how many more sons of prophets were there in the entire land of Israel? Were they not all prophesying at the same time? Did they not minister to Elisha?

Even during the time of Elijah and Elisha when the two were walking together we see another prophet prophesy to King Ahab

1 King 20:13: And, behold, there came a prophet unto Ahab king of Israel, saying, ‘Thus says the LORD, Have you seen all this great multitude?  Behold, I will deliver it in to thine hand this day; and you shall know that I am the LORD’

Elisha was not the only prophet ministering to Israel during his time

3. Two witnesses coming to earth

Two witnesses are coming to earth and they will minister at the same time, be killed at the same time and resurrect the same time.

Rev 11:3: And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.

The two witnesses are God’s Prophets who are in heaven today – one of them is Elijah.

Mal 4:5: Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD

Elijah is not on earth; he is in heaven. God revealed him to me and he spoke to me and he is to come.

Two God witnesses who are prophets will be ministering at the same time in the Great Tribulation Period.

How can you say two prophets cannot minister at the same time?

Stop limiting God

God has many prophets prophesying at the same time

Though not every person who prophesies is a prophet, God’s will is for many to prophesy

The problem with people who say ‘no two prophets can minister the same time’ is that they even shut down any other person with the gift of prophesy.

Though being with the gift of prophecy does not mean you are a prophet, we should not shut down people with this gift – it’s Lord’s; let them exercise it

As seen below, it is God’s will many people to prophecy

4. Joel’s End Time prophesy – many to prophecy at the same time

Joel 2:28: And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions

In this times of the end, many (sons and daughters) are supposed to be prophesying as prophesied by Joel

Then who are you to shut them down?

5. Gift of prophecy

Before Jesus ascended, He gave gifts to men and one of the gifts is prophecy.

Eph 4:11: And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers

Then who are you to silence the bride of Christ from prophesying?

When Moses spirit was divided and given to 70 elders, they prophesied

Numbers 11:25: And the LORD came down in a cloud, and spoke unto him, and took of the spirit that was upon him, and gave it unto the seventy elders: and it came to pass, that, when the spirit rested upon them, they prophesied, and did not cease

Did Moses shut down the chosen prophesying children of Israel when God gave then his spirit?

Num 11:27 -28: And there ran a young man, and told Moses, and said, ‘Eldad and Medad do prophesy in the camp’. And Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of Moses, one of his young men, answered and said, ‘My lord Moses, forbid them’.

Num 11:29: And Moses said unto him, ‘Are you zealous for my sake?  Oh that all the LORD’s people were prophets, and that the LORD would put his spirit upon them!’

If Moses did not forbid those prophesying, why you?

The problem with many God servants today is that they are envious/zealous. They think serving God is a competition and if another God servant rises they will be defeated

They want only them be called God prophet, apostle, pastor, etc. It is for this reason they come up with other title to add to their names e.g King Apostle …, Queen Pastor …, Mighty Prophet, etc – to them it is a competition of who is great and who is not.

They are envious of other people’s working with God in the same level or higher than them.

God servants are not envious of another person’s calling. Peter was not envious of Paul’s calling neither did he silence him neither was John the Baptist envious of Jesus.

Why are you envious of other God servants?

The same gift you have, someone else has it and even at a higher level than you.

You are not the only prophet, you are not the only apostle, evangelist, etc so stop silencing others, calling them false and allowing your followers to abuse them

Serving God is not a competition

‘No two prophets can minister at the same time’ is a statement speaking contrary to what the Bible reveals

God always has many prophets ministering at the same time

Stop limiting God

The Spirit asked me, ‘Jezebel massacred many of My prophets + Obadiah 100 prophets + Elijah, how many prophets do you think I had in Israel alone at the same time?’

Before I answered, He continued

If in Israel alone which is small I was having all these prophets, how many do you think I have in Kenya and all over the world?

It’s the work of the Bride of Christ to go to the Bible and check if a statement said by a God servant is in alignment with the Bible

Repent Repent Repent

Repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand
