You shall not Kill Part-2

You shall not kill
You shall not kill

Continuation from you shall not kill part-1.

Ex:20:13: Thou shalt not kill.

Anger in the commandment; you shall not kill

Because the command says, ‘whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause’, people excuse themselves saying they have or had a cause for them to be angry. Jesus clearly taught and explained this.

Mt 18:21-22: Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Jesus said unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.

Jesus made forgiving until you lose count. So saying you have a cause to be angry with is not an excuse but instead you should forgive.

And Jesus went on to give an example; Mt 18:23-35 (read it).

Jesus tells us direct that if you think you have a cause of being angry, you have been forgiven over a million times and how come you cannot forgive. What ever they or s/he has done to you is nothing compared to what I (Jesus) did to you. So why not forgive others since Jesus  forgave you?

Mt 18:32-35: Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O you wicked servant, I forgave you all that debt, because you desired me. Should you not also have had compassion on your fellow servant, even as I had pity on you? And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him.  So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if you from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.

Since we do not forgive and instead we become angry with our fellow brothers and sisters, also the heavenly father will not forgive us. Many times we do not remember how many times we have been forgiven but we do remember how many times we have forgiven. No matter what someone has done to you, you have done much more to God and God forgives you. Then why not to forgive?

From Matthew 18:21-22, if you’re angry you are in danger. Raca means idiot, ridiculous or crazy person. If you say that, feel that to fellow man, you are in danger of council. The person who says that in anger is also in need of council. God declares that that person you call idiot or Raca is made by my hands so it is like calling Him.

The fool says there is no God (Psalms 14:1). The biblical word for fool means a person who is morally bankrupt and spiritually hopeless. When you look at a person and called her/him a fool, you say and mean that there is no hope or plan of God saving him/her and you have sinned. If you look at a person or group of people that hurts you and call them ‘fools’, you have hated God.

The tongue can kill or give new life. Proverb 18:21: Death and life are in the power of the tongue. By saying good words to others, you build or give life and by saying bad things to others, you are killing life. Let’s take care of our tongues; the words that come out from our tongues to other people because we may be killing without our knowledge.

Thanks and all glory to Jesus Christ; Amen.
