All Godly Political Leaders Leading Nations have God Prophets With Them. Kings and Prophets of Israel

All Godly Political leaders leading nations have God prophets with them as seen in the Bible.

Political leaders chosen by God to lead nations are different from God servants leading the church. God servants are apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers while political leaders include kings, queens, presidents, senators, governors, etc.

All true God servants dream dreams and see visions but this is not always so with Godly political leaders leading nations. Some dream dreams and see visions, others not but they all have prophets walking with them and if not so, it’s trouble.

This is the true picture painted from the nation of Israel in the Bible.

When Israel rebelled God and asked for kings to lead them, God allowed it be.

1 Sam 8:5-7: And said unto him, ‘Behold, you are old, and your sons walk not in your ways: now make us a king to judge us like all the nations’. But the thing displeased Samuel, when they said, ‘Give us a king to judge us’.  And Samuel prayed unto the LORD. And the LORD said unto Samuel, ‘Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them’.

In other words, Israel was rejecting the leadership of God through His servants in asking for political leadership.

Politics are meant for compromise to please people as a whole. You cannot please people and please God neither compromise reason God servants must never be politicians.

Political leadership is as a result of people rejecting God leadership.

Let’s look at the Kings of Israel and their prophets to learn

Israel Kings and their prophets

First Israel King was Saul

King Saul

King Saul prophet was Samuel.

King Saul walked with Prophet Samuel obeying every word from God through the prophet until the day he disobeyed God’s words and the spirit of God departed from Saul.

1 Sam 15:1-3: Samuel also said unto Saul,’ The LORD sent me to anoint you to be king over his people, over Israel: now therefore hearken you unto the voice of the words of the LORD’.  Thus says the LORD of hosts, ‘I remember that which Amalek did to Israel, how he laid wait for him in the way, when he came up from Egypt. Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass’.

When King Saul disobeyed and God regretted

1 Sam 15:10-11: Then came the word of the LORD unto Samuel, saying, ‘I greatly regret that I have set up Saul to be king: for he is turned back from following me, and has not performed my commandments’.  And it grieved Samuel; and he cried unto the LORD all night.

And the spirit of God departed from Saul

See why the spirit of God departs and how to know if He has departed.

The next king of Israel after Saul was David.

King David

God sent Prophet Samuel to anoint David after Saul disobeyed God.

1 Sam 16:1: And the LORD said unto Samuel, ‘How long will you mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel?  Fill your horn with oil, and go, I will send you to Jesse the Bethlehemite: for I have provided me a king among his sons’.

When David became king of Israel after Saul’s death, his prophet was not Samuel but Prophet Nathan.

Though David was a prophet (Acts 2:30), God could send Prophet Nathan to him.

King David walked with Prophet Nathan obeying everything God spoke to Him through the prophet.

It is for this reason king David remains the greatest king to rule Israel in the eyes of God because He was obedient to Him.

The next king of Israel was Solomon

King Solomon

Though Solomon had all wisdom, he listened to no prophet.

It is for this reason Solomon lost direction, had many concubines, built altars for other gods and worshipped their gods.

The next king was Rehoboam; Solomon’s Son

King Rehoboam

God spoke to king Rehoboam through prophets including Shemaiah (1 King 12)

After King Rehoboam were other kings of divided Israel and Judah and for every King was a prophet (see this in the chart above).

If you look into all Israel Kings who pleased God, they had a prophet with them obeying every word from God.

If you look closely to those who did not please God in their leadership, they either disobeyed God word’s through a prophet or had no prophet with them.

A political leader pleasing God and leading people in God’s way is determined by;

  1. Does s/he have a prophet or not
  2. Does s/he obey or disobey God’s word through a prophet

A prophet is the eye, points out direction and without a prophet a congregation moves blindly or a political leader leads people blindly into a ditch.

If the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch (Mt 15:14)

As was with Israel political leadership, for every Godly political leader be it a president, a king, etc, there is a prophet appointed by God to walk with him/her.

Why does God care?

Because inside the territory the political leader leads, is His Bride (His church).

A nation led by a political leader with a prophet walks according to God’s ways doing His will. A nation led by a political leader without a prophet or disobeying God’s words through a prophet is rebellious to God.

Saul become rebellious to God and led Israel to rebellion also was Solomon who led Israel to worship of other gods. David was obedient to God and led Israel to walking in God’s way doing His will. And so were all other Israel and Judah kings; they either led people to rebellion or obedience.

Godly political leaders today have God prophet walking with them and looking keenly, their nations have something different from nations whose leaders have no prophets with them (rebellious).

Look at nations led by Godly leaders with prophets, they enjoy a higher degree of peace, love, growth, etc than nations led by ungodly leaders or leaders without prophets; majority have war not peace, hatred is deep in the people no love, evil, corruption, etc

Do not tell me that your political leader is chosen by God – show me the God prophet walking with him/her because God does not allow a political leader who loves Him walk alone without a prophet.
