Not Every Worldly Wealthy Person is Blessed by God

Not Every Worldly Wealthy Person is Blessed by God

Not every worldly wealthy person is blessed by God. God gives worldly riches and so does Satan.

God created the world and everything in it but it is ruled by Satan – Satan has authority over worldly things.

It is for this reason when he was tempting Jesus, he offered Him everything in the world.

Mt 4:8-9: Again, the devil took Him up into an exceeding high mountain, and shewed him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them. And said unto him, ‘All these things will I give thee, if thou will fall down and worship me’.

Was Satan truthful telling Jesus he will give Him the world? No! Satan is a deceiver – he cannot share/give his kingdom

Not Every Worldly Wealthy Person is Blessed by God

You can become worldly wealthy/rich through 3 ways;

  1. Be blessed by God
  2. Be given by Satan
  3. Work hard
(The last two are tied in together – you’ll see how)

    1. Being blessed by God

God blesses or gives people worldly riches but there is a condition or a principle for you to receive from God; seek first the kingdom of heaven.

See seek first the kingdom of heaven and everything will be added unto you

In the Bible we see people purely blessed by God.

• Abraham

Abraham was purely blessed by God – he did not work hard to be worldly rich.

Gen 12:2-3: And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing. And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curses thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

• Job

Even after losing everything in his trial, God blessed Job’s latter part more than his beginning – meaning Job previous riches were also from God.

Job 42:12: So the LORD blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning

• Solomon

Solomon riches were purely a blessing from God.

2 Ch 1:7-10: In that night did God appear unto Solomon, and said unto him, ‘ask what I shall give thee’. And Solomon said unto God, ‘You have showed great mercy unto David my father, and have made me to reign in his stead. Now, O LORD God, let your promise unto David my father be established: for you have made me king over a people like the dust of the earth in multitude. Give me now wisdom and knowledge that I may go out and come in before this people: for who can judge this thy people that is so great?’

2 Ch 1:11-12: And God said to Solomon, ‘Because this was in thine heart, and you have not asked riches, wealth, or honor, nor the life of thine enemies, neither yet have asked long life; but have asked wisdom and knowledge for thyself, that thou may judge my people, over whom I have made thee king. Wisdom and knowledge is granted unto thee; and I will give thee riches, and wealth, and honor, such as none of the kings have had that have been before thee, neither shall there any after thee have the like’.

God blessing comes with riches; makes a person rich

Proverb 10:22: The blessing of the LORD, it makes rich, span>

As I said in focus heaven and all will be added unto you, ‘a rich person is not who has worldly riches but that person blessed by God’.

God knows we need all this worldly things

Mt 6:8: … for your Father knows what things you have need of, before you ask Him

Seek first the kingdom of heaven and all will be added unto you

Mt 6:33: But seek you first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you

Godly people are just led where there is pasture (riches).

John 10:9: I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture

In Jesus Christ you will find pasture

Godly people do not seek worldly things but they are led to the things – like the children of Israel who were just led to a land they knew not in which they were to find pasture.

He places us where there is pasture. I am where my pasture is.

It is for this reason you will never find a righteous man beg because God has placed him/her where his/her pasture is and s/he is obedient to God’s will not his/her will.

On earth, Godly people are focused on doing God’s Will not their will.

The problem is that many people do not differentiate God’s will and their will.

If I say tomorrow I will buy a car, that is my will. But if God speaks to me and says tomorrow I will give you a car, that is God’s will.

If I say tomorrow I will be working in this and that company, that is my will but if God speaks and says tomorrow you will be in that company, that is God’s will.

Do the will of God not your will

True bride of Christ do not seek worldly things but the things follow them. They do not serve worldly things but the things serve them.

2. Given by Satan

Satan also gives worldly riches

To get from Satan, you must worship him as we see in Jesus temptation

Many people are/have worshiped Satan, knowingly or unknowingly.

Satan is the ruler of the world therefore he can give you whatever you want of the world but he is a deceiver. He promises you worldly riches if you worship him but in reality he is deceiving you – Can he share his kingdom with you?

Many people have gone to worship Satan in promise of worldly riches only to realize that Satan does not share his kingdom. He just entices people for them to serve him.

3. Work Hard to be Worldly Wealthy

The 3rd category of people are those who say they work hard to get worldly riches; to be wealthy

These group of people;

  1. Do not want to seek first the kingdom of heaven for all to be added unto them
  2. They do not want to worship Satan directly
  3. But they want worldly riches

Therefore the solution in their minds is to work hard

A person truly seeking first the kingdom of heaven does not seek worldly things; you cannot love the world and love heaven.

1 John 2:15: Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

These are people seeking things of the world and at the same time they want the kingdom of heaven; you cannot have both.

They work hard to be worldly rich not first seeking the kingdom of heaven and they want God to bless the work of their hands; will He?

For love of money and worldly riches, they fall into temptations and snares their end being destruction.

1 Tim 6:9-10: But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

If you love God as you claim, why not seek first His kingdom for Him to add all unto you?

God allows people who work hard to prosper; it does not matter if you are good or evil – they prosper for the Day of Judgment.

Do not tell me because you have worked hard you are blessed by God. No! It’s because God allowed you to prosper in your rebellion awaiting you for your judgment.

Is there a difference between a heathen and a hypocrite claiming to be a Bride of Christ working hard to prosper? No! Because they are all focused on worldly things and God allows them to prosper.

When a Bride of Christ seeks worldly riches, the word of God is choked leading to spiritual death.

Mk 4:19: And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful

I know some of you will say Adam was told to toil to eat from the ground all the days of his life. Yes! That was the first Adam – Do you know about the second Adam?

See first Adam vs Second Adam

Second Adam (Jesus Christ) became the provider for the first Adam. He became manna and the bread of life for the first Adam.

The question is; are you working hard to provide for yourself or Jesus Christ is your provider?

Not every person worldly wealthy is blessed by God but only those who seek first the kingdom of heaven. Do not be fooled.
