Steadiness is Faithfulness – What God is Looking For

Steadiness is Faithfulness

Steadiness is Faithfulness. Faithfulness is what God is looking for. Steadiness (consistency) reveals our hearts unto God. Are you steady in your walk with God?

Steadiness is Faithfulness – What God is Looking For

Though all the children of Israel came out of Egypt, only the steady in their walk with God made it to the Promised Land – many perished in the wilderness because of their unsteadiness.

Abraham blessings are a result of his steady walk with God. Steadiness shouts faithfulness and to such blessings are guaranteed.

Challenges/trials come to test out steadiness. Stumbling blocks, hindrances, trials, never stray a steady person. In his walk with God, challenges did not stray Job, and after being tested, he was approved and promoted.

But to the unsteady, challenges take them out of God to the world or to their own ways. How many people have you seen or heard that when challenges came to test their faithfulness, they ran away from God, to even abusing and blaspheming Him?

Time also tests our steadiness, our faithfulness in God. It took Abraham years to be blessed by God. Took many years for Moses to go deliver the Children of Israel. Time tests everyone’s faithfulness in God.

How many people have you seen come to God so hot but they cannot last a week, a month, a year, yet these are the people God wants them to walk steadily with Him for the rest of their lives? Time is a stumbling block to all liars.

The problem with today’s church is unsteadiness, walking like drunkards. Today many devote themselves intensely seeking the Lord but cannot even last a week, not even a month, and these are the people who God wants them to seek Him for the rest of their lives.

Today a person goes to fast, 3 days, 5 days, etc, but immediately after fasting, they are back to their old ways of sin and worldliness. We gather Sundays Saturdays Fridays etc to seek God but after that we go back to worldliness stealing and filthiness. Lukewarmness is unsteadiness.

Many come to God seeking blessings, after a week, a month, of not seeing the blessings (since God is not a magician), they run away from God to witchcraft, worldly ways and in their own ways. Did God not know their hearts all along?

Can a man lie to God? But we are liars, first to ourselves and we want to lie to God too. Our unsteadiness is our undoing, our stumbling block.

When steadiness leaves, people use alternative routes, shortcuts, unto God. Is not what is left in the church today praying for blessings, tithing/trying to buy God blessings, worldliness, witchcraft, using shortcuts?

Even success in the world is not for the talented, not the gifted, not the learned but the steady. A successful business man/woman, a successful sports man/woman, a successful person, is the steady.

When you see success coming fast without years of building up a strong foundation, the fall is always bigger than the success achieved. Is this not what you see with the church today, quick tiny blessings and fast they lose them, even some losing their own life?

Seek and walk with God steadily for the rest of your life on earth. Pray consistently, offer give sacrifice consistently like Job, live a Godly lifestyle consistently, everything you do unto God do consistently for the rest of your life on earth. This is what faithfulness is.

Blessed are they who have walked with God consistently for over 30 years, 40 years, 50, 60, 70 years, the rest of their life time on earth and still walking – if you want to see blessings, see these people. Prov 28:20 A faithful man abounds with blessings.

Are you steady in your seeking and walking with God?
