The Kingdom of God is Not in Word But in Power

The Kingdom of God is Not in Word But in Power
The Kingdom of God is Not in Word But in Power

The kingdom of God is not in word but in power. The word without power has no kingdom of God. Word without power is dead. Word with power is alive doing impossible.

1 Cor 4:20: For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.

The Kingdom of God is Not in Word But in Power

Without the power, the word is nothing. Without the power the word has no kingdom of God.

Without the power, reading the Bible is like reading a novel. The word cannot do anything; the word is dead.

But with power, the word is life; it changes and does what is impossible to humans.

What is the power?

Jesus told His disciples to tally in Jerusalem wait for the power

Lk 24:49: And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry you in the city of Jerusalem, until you be endued with power from on high.

In addition He said,

Acts 1:8: But you shall receive power when the Holy Ghost is come upon you

The coming upon of the Holy Spirit is the clothing with power.

See the 3 relationship of the Holy Spirit with humanity

And the power came upon them in the day of Pentecost.

To the Bride of Christ;

1. Power comes and activates Jesus Christ gifts in you. This gifts include, speaking in tongues, healing, prophecy, etc. Each person has his/her own gift of the Holy Spirit according to the grace of Jesus Christ.

2. Power also brings peace, joy and righteousness to a person. The peace, joy and righteousness is the kingdom of God brought in by the power.

Rom 14:17: For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost

Today brood of vipers think that signs of the kingdom of God is becoming earthly millionaires, living in large houses, driving big cars, showing off and bragging, etc. They are wrong. All these worldly things do not mean that a person has the kingdom of God; that a person is Godly.

By only seeing the power of the kingdom of God in a person do we know if a person is a True bride of Christ or no. Do we see peace, joy, righteousness, and the gifts of Holy Spirit manifested in you?

For the blessings of the Lord comes with His kingdom. You cannot be blessed by God without first having His kingdom in you. Satan also gives worldly riches.

Mt 6:33: But seek you first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you

Only by looking at the power of the kingdom of God manifested in a person, so do we confirm that the blessings are from Jesus Christ.

3. Because of the power, the Bride of Christ is able to understand the Bible. As we read, Holy Spirit starts revealing the kingdom of God from one verse to the next.

John 14:26: But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

To a servant of God;

1. The power comes to power you to carry out the great commission; it’s time to go where God send you.

2. Power comes with miracles, signs and wonders accompanying the Word.

When you wait upon the Lord as His servant, He powers you and miracles, signs and wonders follow you.

The kingdom of God is not revealed in the word but in the power. Miracles, signs and wonders reveal God’s kingdom.

Mt 12:28: But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.

Lk 10:9: And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.

Lk 11:20: But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you.

Every God true servant preaching Jesus Christ gospel is followed by miracles, signs and wonders.

Sick people do not want to be preached to first but healed. The dead do not want to be preached to first but raised up from the dead. Insane people do not want to be preached to first but set free by casting out the demons. The disabled do not want to be preached to first but told to rise up and told go. Etc. This is revealing the kingdom of God.

The kingdom of God is not dead but living and powerful. Thus the word with the kingdom of heaven (power) is able to do wonders.

In the kingdom of God there are no diseases, disabled, insane, addicts, and people in bondages. To reveal the kingdom of God to humanity, the gospel must set humanity free from bondages.

A true Jesus Christ gospel has power in the word through which signs, miracles and wonders are seen delivering people from bondages revealing the kingdom of God.

When Jesus gave His disciple’s power they were able to heal all manner of diseases and cast out demons.

Mt 10:1: And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.

And Jesus send them saying,

Mt 10:7-8: And as you go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely you have received, freely give.

Jesus Christ does not send His servants to preach powerless gospel which has no miracles signs and wonders.

All early Jesus Christ servants had power. They did not just preach a gospel of mere words without miracles signs and wonders.

Apostle Paul says,

1 Thess 1:5: For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as you know what manner of men we were among you for your sake.

1 Cor 2:4: And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power

The gospel preached by Apostle Paul was accompanied by many miracles and wonders.

Rom 15:18-19: For I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ hath not wrought by me, to make the Gentiles obedient, by word and deed, through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.

See that mighty signs and wonders are by the power of the Spirit of God.

Today’s preaching in many so-called churches is of men coming with enticing words of man’s wisdom without power. They have enticing-heavy-worded powerless gospel without the kingdom of God.

And since these people with this powerless gospel have found that they cannot reveal the kingdom of God, they have gone to inspiration and motivational speaking in the name of preaching the gospel.

What makes me wonder with these so-called churches is; how do you preach to the sick, to the disabled, to captives? They need deliverance first not preaching. How can the gospel you preach not even heal one person? Is it Jesus Christ gospel? No!

Without the Holy Spirit, the word is nothing; it can do nothing. Without the Holy Spirit the writings in the Bible are just like writings in a novel.

Without the power, the kingdom of heaven cannot be revealed through miracles, signs and wonders with delivering humanity from bondages.

Without accepting the power no matter how much you read the Bible, you will neither understand it nor it change your life.

For many have accepted the word as the word of God, taken a form of godliness through reading it but denied the power which changes a person.

2 Tim 3:5: Having a form of godliness, but denying the power

This is the reason you see people attend church on Sunday but in the evening they are drunkards, in sexual immoralities, in adultery, boasting and showing off, money lovers, proud etc because they have denied the power but have a form of godliness.

2 Tim 3:2-7: For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Jesus Christ gospel has power; true gospel is powerful; it is not of mere words without power.
